Key Responsibilities
- Work out and recommend technical, cost-effective structural design alternatives.
- Represent the interests of steel in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
- Perform preliminary calculations for estimating steel sections.
- Prepare estimates of steel tonnages, quantities and associated costs.
- Collect relevant technical information for sending RFQs to suppliers.
- Act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding structural steelwork.
- Coordinate lay-out engineers in production of 2D drawings and 3D models of structural steelwork.
- Provide up-to-date, accurate and complete reports on time.
