Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain QMS procedures and ensure they are implemented and executed at the 3PL
- Highlight any need for corrective and preventative action to S+N, suppliers and customers
- Support Destination Labeling in line with newly setup MDR process requirements
- Execute any on site support activities from needed from S+N side
- Supporting global, regional or local logistics and IT projects
- Manage 3PL related projects independently
- Continues improvement activities on systems and processes
- Tracking of stock reconciliation between the S+N and third party logistics provider and their warehouse management systems
- Resolve IDOC errors to keep the interfaces clean and the systems aligned
- Investigate with 3rd party logistics provider’s and put in corrective action to ensure stock transactions are executed correctly and good inventory integrity exists
- Act as a key contact in the day to day interaction between Smith and Nephew departments and our 3PL
- Investigating special requirements and support the business partners in finding most effective solution
- Ensure transparent logistics operation, by executing operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current
- Oversee operational performance of the 3PL with effective KPI’s
- Attending daily calls and monthly as well as quarterly 3PL Business Review Meetings
- Follow up and investigate customer complaints
- Managing rework orders and oversee return management
- Actively balance the trade off between cost and service, e.g. freight costs, 3PL charges
