Key Responsibilities

  • •Managing end-to-end financial accounting across the consolidated entity, including income statement and balance sheet accounts, with responsibility for revenue, OPEX, fixed assets, prepayments, and intercompany transfers.
  • •Processing month-end journals and actively driving the timely and accurate completion of month-end close procedures.
  • •Preparing robust and insightful financial reports for internal stakeholders, including monthly management accounts and cash flow statements, to support strategic decision-making.
  • •Collaborating effectively with external auditors and tax advisors, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure compliance.
  • •Owning the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • •Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and working closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and the timely delivery of all reporting obligations.
  • •Collaborating with commercial stakeholders to provide relevant financial analysis and help the business understand its financial performance.
  • •Working collaboratively with other Accountants to manage and support the accounting team, contributing to a high-performing and cohesive finance function.
  • •Providing guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day oversight to junior members of the accounting team, fostering their professional development and ensuring quality of work.
  • •Contributing to the training and continued knowledge sharing amongst team members.
  • •Proactively identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and automation within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • •Contributing to wider finance team projects, including system migrations, ERP enhancements, and other transformation initiatives.
  • •Ensuring adherence to and documentation of internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
