Key Responsibilities
- Oversee logistics processes for on time delivery at optimal costs
- Support and resolve escalations with inbound and outbound transportation
- Manage warehouse receipt requirements, import/export documentation, freight forwarder coordination, customs clearances and 3rd party logistics
- Coordinate and collaborate internally and externally for inbound shipments
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance transportation operations
- Lead lane-level reporting and reviews of transportation operations
- Monitor key metrics such as transit time, utilization, and on-time delivery
- Work cross-functionally with planning, warehousing, procurement, and customer service
- Use TMS, BI platforms, and analytics tools for performance analysis, visibility and reporting
- Support implementation of new logistics tools and system enhancements
- Partner with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and carriers to improve performance
- Support RFP processes, carrier evaluations, and continuous improvement plans
