Key Responsibilities

  • •Hardware design
  • •Designs PCBs (schematics and layout) using hardware development tools like Altium and Siemens Xpedition.
  • •Analyses customer requirements and product definitions, and determines design requirements.
  • •Produces drawings and diagrams of the designs in various levels of detail and assures that documentation is kept up to date.
  • •Monitors activity planning in relation to project schedules.
  • •Maintenance of required tools and processes
  • •Contributes ideas for new developments, gives suggestions and solutions based on personal expertise, market studies and business needs.
  • •Aligns with production on manufacturability of products
  • •Provides service to existing products in production or at customers
  • •Contributes and/or initiates DFMEAs
  • •Finds correct materials and components by studying product and market information and making inquiries with suppliers.
  • •Performs simulations and desktop testing, i.e. functional tests
  • •Aligns with testing department on verification and validation tests and reviews test set-ups and test results.
  • •Works closely with various disciplines as part of a project team to ensure that the design optimally fulfils all requirements.
  • •Awareness of DFT/DFM, for flawless PCBA mass production at Electronics Manufacturing Services.
  • •Awareness of Hardware design optimized for EMC/EMI performance
  • •Works structurally and documents according the Stoneridge Product Lauch Program (SPLP) process
