Key Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory intelligence to the Low Carbon Fuels business by tracking, interpreting and explaining existing and emerging EU and national regulations impacting feedstocks and finished low-carbon fuels across road, aviation and maritime sectors.
- Translate regulatory developments into clear commercial and strategic insights, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting the development of concrete actions, including preparation of briefing and decision material for traders, commercial leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Act as an external representative and subject-matter expert for Shell on low-carbon fuel regulation, engaging with regulators, industry associations, certification bodies and certification schemes on new or amended legislative instruments, regulatory interpretation and implementation questions.
- In close collaboration with Government Relations, Policy & Advocacy and relevant Shell plc businesses in Europe contribute to the shaping and alignment of Shell’s European LCF regulatory strategy and market design positions.
- Support businesses in the implementation of regulatory requirements resulting from either new regulations or changes to existing regulations that would impact T&S LCF and associated businesses.
