Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and improve Home Assistant OS support for Nabu Casa hardware platforms
•Work with Home Assistant OS contributors and Open Home Foundation developers
•Support board bring-up activities including Buildroot configuration, BSPs, bootloader configuration, partition layouts, and system services
•Optimize OS performance, hardware utilization, stability, and reliability
•Maintain and improve Buildroot-based build infrastructure
•Investigate and resolve platform-level issues
•Collaborate with Hardware Team during development and validation of new boards
•Upstream patches to Linux, U-Boot, Buildroot, or other open-source projects
•Work with silicon vendors, hardware partners, and open-source maintainers
•Contribute to OS security hardening and platform reliability improvements
•Maintain CI pipelines for OS builds and platform validation
•Document platform architecture, board support status, debugging procedures, and technical decisions
