Key Responsibilities
- Set a clear quality bar and build review processes and critique rituals
- Evolve the design system and QA practices
- Lower the learning curve without losing power for experienced builders
- Shape product strategy and bring design thinking into roadmap conversations
- Lead expansion toward a broader, less technical audience
- Build relationships with Product, Engineering, and leadership
- Lead a team of around 14 designers, including 2 Design Leads
- Shape team structure, career framework, and progression paths
- Create a culture of high standards and honest feedback
- Own hiring and headcount planning for the department
- Establish a pragmatic, continuous research practice
- Make customer insight and product data a live input to decisions
- Champion practical AI adoption inside the design org
- Model a thoughtful, adaptive working style
