Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the health and safety of employees, customers, and communities as a top priority.
- Adhere to the company code of ethics and professional engineering standards.
- Travel within assigned territory by car, train, or plane and provide installation and support of Micromeritics’ instruments.
- Perform service activities in conformance with good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Maintain prompt professional communications with customers and internal staff and provide customer support via phone and/or email.
- Perform field-based maintenance and repair of all company instruments.
- Perform field-based inspection and troubleshooting.
- Conduct repairs of instruments, order and replace parts or components for malfunctioning instruments.
- Complete reports, logs, and service documentation in conformance to good laboratory practices.
- Actively promote company service products and offerings and market service products and contracts.
- Provide service reports related to product reliability/warranty.
- Contribute to documentation and records by revising up-to-date manuals, service notes, drawings, and other materials.
- Maintain assigned equipment and tools, including company vehicles, parts, IT devices, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized spare parts inventories, tools, and safety supplies.
