Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines from ingestion to consumption using Databricks, DBT, and surrounding tooling/stack
•Define and maintain data architecture and modelling standards (e.g., Kimball, Data Vault)
•Ensure pipeline reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across environments (Test, Acceptance, Production)
•Collaborate with platform engineers on CI/CD automation, version control, and environment promotion
•Implement data quality and monitoring frameworks (DBT tests, Great Expectations, Delta expectations)
•Work with governance teams to ensure lineage, metadata, and GDPR compliance through Unity Catalog and other tools
•Partner with Analytics Engineers, AI teams, and business stakeholders to make high-quality data available for analytics and products
•Mentor data engineers and drive adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
•Contribute to the Data Platform roadmap and support technical evaluations of new tools and frameworks
