Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute daily outbound shipments for affiliate orders in line with routing guides, service levels, and documentary requirements
- Validate orders for accuracy, inventory availability, and shipping instructions; resolve exceptions and prioritize critical shipments
- Book carriers and appointments; select mode (LTL, TL, intermodal, parcel) to balance cost and service; support rate negotiations and tender acceptance
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and export documents; coordinate with customs brokers for cross-border shipments
- Monitor pick/pack/ship activities across plants, 3PLs, and co-packers; track shipments, proactively communicate delays, and drive corrective actions
- Manage freight claims (damage, shortage, loss); investigate root causes and partner with carriers and warehouses on resolution
- Maintain accurate shipment data within ERP/TMS/WMS and ensure master data integrity (ship-to, routing, weights/cubes)
- Achieve logistics KPIs, including OTIF, tender acceptance, appointment adherence, cost per case, and dwell time; provide daily/weekly reporting and analytics
- Support month-end close activities: reconcile freight accruals, validate invoices, and resolve billing discrepancies with carriers and 3PLs
- Ensure compliance with labeling requirements, Incoterms, and import/export regulations
- Contribute to continuous improvement: standardize SOPs and support network optimization initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Demand Planning, Sales, Quality, and Finance to support promotions, new product launches, and seasonal surges
- Prepare for and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits; maintain accurate records and documentation
- Provide occasional coverage for early cutoffs, evenings, or weekends during peak periods
