Key Responsibilities
- Set the long-term product strategy for VCS and code-change workflows across all JetBrains IDEs.
- Identify gaps in current developer workflows and define new product directions in the VCS space.
- Explore new opportunities, from cross-IDE VCS clients and host-neutral code reviews to AI-native review and authorship tracking.
- Listen closely to community and industry feedback to determine priorities.
- Align roadmap decisions across product, engineering, design, marketing, developer advocacy, partnership, and customer-facing teams.
- Work with engineering and quality leads to balance user value, technical constraints, and platform health.
- Shape external positioning and represent VCS direction in conversations with customers and the developer tools community.
