Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Legal Counsel in advising ASML’s Product Safety, Regulatory and Compliance team, the Global Quality & Excellence team, and the Corporate EHS team on product compliance and safety matters across the company.
- Provide legal research and advice on global regulatory frameworks applicable to ASML’s products (e.g., EU Machinery Regulation, EMC, RoHS, REACH, PFAS, etc.).
- Assist in risk assessments related to product safety, CE marking processes, declarations, and global product compliance.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with Development & Engineering, Sourcing & Procurement, Customer Support, and other internal stakeholders to identify and manage regulatory risks and support product strategy decisions.
- Support the preparation and review of legal guidance, memos, internal policies, and training materials to promote a strong compliance culture at ASML.
- Participate in internal working groups (e.g., regulatory intelligence group, product safety newsletter editorial team).
- Monitor and summarize emerging regulatory trends and developments impacting the semiconductor industry, including in areas such as sustainability, chemicals, and product safety.
- Where required, provide support on legal matters related to knowledge protection (e.g., trade secrets) and IP disputes (e.g., trademark, copyright or patent disputes).
