Key Responsibilities
- Create machine learning models for digitizing real-world infrastructure from data sources like LIDAR, imagery, and vector data
- Work at every stage of the ML lifecycle from data collection and QA to training and model monitoring
- Stay updated with best practices in data handling, MLOps, and latest advancements in machine learning
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Develop approaches to generate accurate electric networks from imperfect data using deep learning and classical ML algorithms
- Develop and optimise training pipelines to reduce toil and idea-to-evaluation time
- Scale the serving of models for different problems while reducing time from first model to production
- Improve speed of model QA and identify data and distribution drift in models
- Work with data sources including LiDAR, aerial photography, photogrammetry & GIS, and build scalable data pipelines
- Mentor other engineers in best practices for model training and software engineering
