Research Lead

EML, a leading Workers Compensation and Personal Injury Claims Management business, is seeking a Research Lead to join their Client Solutions team. This hybrid role involves strategic leadership of the research and white paper program, ensuring commercial alignment and evidence-based insights. The position is available part-time or full-time as a 12-month secondment, based in New South Wales, Queensland, or Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage EML's research and white paper strategy, ensuring alignment to growth and enterprise priorities
  • •Establish and oversee the annual research and white paper program, including topic selection, sequencing, delivery timelines and quality standards
  • •Act as the central point of coordination across business units, actuaries, researchers, subject matter experts, universities and specialist partners
  • •Undertake the program management, including budget management, cost control, governance and return on investment
  • •Develop business cases, funding proposals and investment recommendations for research initiatives
  • •Ensure strong governance, risk management, reporting and benefits realisation across the program
  • •Oversee the end-to-end delivery of research outputs, ensuring rigour, clarity and consistency
  • •Lead, coach and support research contributors, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
  • •Work closely with Strategy and Growth, Partnerships and Distribution and Marketing & Communications to translate research into compelling, market-facing insights
  • •Support the release to market and present findings across multiple channels including conferences, employer sessions, masterclass's, podcasts and virtual + in person events
