Key Responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for the Business Intelligence function, establishing it as a trusted centre of expertise across payments and financial crime.
- Lead, mentor, and uplift a team of analysts, building capability, confidence, and technical depth.
- Act as the go-to SME for complex analytical challenges, including investigative deep dives into payment activity, financial crime use-cases, trends, anomalies, and behavioural patterns.
- Move beyond reporting by providing context, narrative, and recommendations that influence business, customer, and risk outcomes.
- Oversee dashboards, reporting, and data assets that provide visibility across end-to-end payment journeys, operational performance, and risk metrics.
- Navigate complex data environments, partnering with technology teams to extract, structure, and interpret semi-structured payments data.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders and executive forums with clarity and confidence.
- Build trusted relationships across payments, risk, compliance, financial crime, operations, technology, and regulatory reporting teams.
