Key Responsibilities

•Build, test and optimise fraud detection rules, logic and analytical solutions
•Analyse emerging fraud and scam patterns, incidents and trends to identify detection opportunities
•Translate insights into detection strategy changes that can be delivered at pace
•Use SQL and Python to extract, manipulate and analyse complex datasets
•Support rule optimisation to improve detection effectiveness while reducing false positives and unnecessary customer friction
•Partner with stakeholders across Digital, Scams, CommBiz, CommSec and other portfolios to understand product and channel changes that may introduce new fraud vectors
•Help identify, onboard and enrich data signals that improve fraud and scam detection capability
•Develop reporting, dashboards and self-serve insights to support decision-making and operational outcomes
•Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting rhythms, ensuring insights are clear, actionable and decision-ready
•Apply strong documentation, quality control and governance practices to ensure analytical solutions are robust and repeatable
•Contribute to continuous improvement across detection performance, alert volumes, customer experience and operational efficiency
