Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of Booking.com’s Business Intelligence Platform (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, and related services).
•Implement features and improvements for BI infrastructure in close collaboration with more senior engineers, following established design patterns and best practices.
•Support the migration from Tableau Server (on-prem) to Tableau Cloud (SaaS) by analysing existing content, executing migrations, validating results, and fixing issues.
•Build and maintain automation for deployments, monitoring, extract/refresh pipelines, housekeeping, and other infra/ops workflows.
•Develop and maintain data and platform services (e.g., APIs, jobs, scripts) using at least one modern programming language (such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar).
•Monitor platform health and performance, help investigate incidents, and participate in root cause analysis and follow-up improvements.
•Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, SREs, and security teams to integrate BI platforms with data sources, identity systems, and cloud infrastructure.
•Apply and support governance frameworks for content lifecycle, permissions, licensing, and cost optimisation.
•Produce clear documentation (runbooks, diagrams, how-to guides) to make platform usage and operations easier for internal users.
•Continuously grow your skills through hands-on engineering, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and participation in internal/external learning opportunities.
