Key Responsibilities
- Act as APAC subject matter expert for WHSE Safety and Risk Management Programs, Injury Prevention, Drug and Alcohol Management, Return to Work, and Business Continuity.
- Ensure compliance with WHSE legislation across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
- Maintain and ensure adherence to WHSE practices, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake WHSE reporting, system maintenance, risk management controls, audits, and annual planning.
- Analyse WHSE trends and develop appropriate responses and initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting to APAC HR Director and Senior Leadership Team.
- Provide advice and support to managers and leaders on WHSE matters.
- Support Health & Safety Committees, Representatives, first aiders, and fire wardens.
- Enhance leadership, management, and employee capability in WHSE responsibilities.
- Design and deliver WHSE training programs aligned to business needs.
- Manage safety issues and investigate incidents to minimise risk and hazards.
- Support managers in implementing recovery and return-to-work plans.
- Provide advice and assistance to Return-to-Work Coordinator during claims management.
- Support development of individual return-to-work plans.
- Oversee Workers Compensation vendor activity and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Manage annual APAC Flu program.
- Participate in wellbeing initiatives led by HR team.
- Support managers with local Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
- Provide advice on environmental legal compliance across APAC.
- Support Global Health and Safety projects and business continuity initiatives.
- Participate in Area Leadership meetings.
- Build trust and credibility with Operations teams.
- Provide WHSE advice across APAC projects and initiatives, including facilities improvements.
