Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable AI and ML solutions for operations, including predictive maintenance, optimisation, and intelligent automation.
- Architect and guide development of agentic AI systems, including multi-agent patterns, RAG, and MCP implementations.
- Integrate LLM and generative AI technologies into enterprise platforms using Databricks, OpenAI, Anthropic, and LangChain.
- Establish reusable patterns, guardrails, and engineering standards for AI applications in production.
- Design and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines for analytics, operational systems, and AI workloads.
- Own medallion architecture standards within Databricks Unity Catalog across bronze to semantic layers.
- Shape scalable data architectures including lakehouse, medallion, event-driven, and real-time processing.
- Drive improvements in data quality, lineage, observability, discoverability, and platform reliability.
- Define and evolve platform architecture for data and AI across Azure, Databricks, and related technologies.
- Lead implementation of end-to-end MLOps and DataOps capabilities (CI/CD, testing, deployment, monitoring).
- Standardise tooling and infrastructure patterns using Git, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Ensure observability, validation, resilience, and operational support for pipelines, models, and AI systems.
- Embed Responsible AI, security, privacy, and data governance into design and operation of solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement risk-aware controls and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies balancing innovation, value, and sustainability.
- Provide technical leadership across complex initiatives influencing architecture and delivery.
- Mentor senior and junior engineers raising engineering excellence and operational maturity.
- Contribute to Data & AI community of practice sharing knowledge and shaping standards.
