Key Responsibilities

•Characterization/determination of regulated and hazardous waste
•Physical maintenance and organization of waste storage area and safety equipment
•Log and containerize regulated and hazardous wastes using a digital waste reporting tool
•Raise requests for additional containers, labels, and supplies from Waste Vendor
•Engage and communicate with Waste Vendors to arrange waste collection
•Maintain and upload all shipment documents to Shared Folder and digital waste reporting tool
•Complete all site based environmental inspections and collaborate with stakeholders
•Liaise with WHS, ICQA, ISS, Vendor Returns and Facilities teams
•Support in preparing monthly waste inventory and identifying shipping frequency
•Set up Products Awaiting Determination Staging Area
•Provide environmental updates to site leadership
•Be trained on digital waste reporting tool and AU Hazardous Waste Procedure
•Complete Dangerous Goods/HazMat Training
•Research waste data trends and cost reduction efforts
•Assist with incidental spill/leak/release clean-up activities
•Deep-dive waste data and identify opportunities for waste reduction
•Additional projects focused on professional growth in Waste/Environmental areas
