Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate site HSE systems, identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks, and providing expert advice on incident prevention and occupational health.
- Ensure all operations, plant, and equipment comply with relevant legislation, standards, and industry requirements, while promoting environmental protection and safe work practices.
- Demonstrate effective use of risk-related data, facts, patterns, and trends; evaluate uncertainties, critical hazard points, scale of risk, probability and impact.
- Identify and use documentary evidence to support legal defence, including documentation that may not be directly OHS/WHS-related.
- Educate and engage co-workers to improve and transform the business and its OHS/WHS culture.
- Lead a 360-degree review to substantially influence OHS/WHS strategy development, aligned with wider business strategy and delivery approach.
