Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of research direction across one or more product domains, identifying critical knowledge gaps and translating them into research questions and study plans
- Design and execution of complex qualitative and quantitative research independently, helping product teams understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points before solutions are defined
- Synthesis of insights across multiple studies and sources to identify broader patterns and strategic product opportunities
- Bringing clarity to the decisions that teams and leadership are making, ensuring they are grounded in strong evidence and a clear reading of the trade-offs
- Translation of findings into clear, actionable recommendations that reveal patterns and shape product direction
- Collaboration with relevant product teams and management on research implications and decision trade-offs, aligning research across the product domain, and navigating competing stakeholder priorities
- Feedback to junior researchers and other product colleagues (designers or Product Managers), reviewing their work for quality
- Improvement of research practices, standards, and ResearchOps activities within the team
- Evaluation and application of new research methods and AI-supported research techniques responsibly
- Regular engagement with stakeholders across product, design, and leadership to communicate findings and build organizational research maturity
