Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain public REST API resources (networks, virtual cross connects, WireGuard interfaces/peers, global IPs, public internet gateways) including OpenAPI 3 specs and backward compatibility
- Build and operate the orchestration control plane in Python 3.12 asyncio, translating API requests into network deployments with resource allocation, job queues, retries, rollback, and reconciliation daemons
- Develop network automation layer using Ansible, asyncssh, and netmiko to push Jinja2-templated config to Linux and VyOS nodes for WireGuard, BGP, GRE tunnels, NAT, firewall, DNS, and anycast
- Integrate cloud interconnect APIs (Equinix Fabric, Equinix Metal) to provision virtual cross connects into AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Maintain Envoy-based data planes with a Go xDS control plane pushing CDS/RDS/EDS over ADS
- Own production monitoring, alerting, customer escalations, and billing sync for network resources
