Key Responsibilities

•Define and own the technical architecture of the storefront across markets, languages, and devices
•Lead a team of frontend engineers through architectural decisions, code reviews, pairing, and hands-on guidance
•Make the call on technology choices, patterns, and trade-offs, and communicate the reasoning to the team and stakeholders
•Balance delivery velocity with technical health. Proactively manage technical debt and know when to invest in it
•Own the integration strategy, from Shopify’s APIs and UI Extensions to Sanity CMS and third-party systems for payments and logistics
•Define the testing strategy alongside QA engineers, covering unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage
•Set and continuously raise the bar for performance, accessibility, security, and reliability
•Drive the frontend chapter, establishing shared standards for development practices, monitoring, and ways of working that extend beyond your own team
