Frontend Engineer & UI Designer (Developer Tooling)
SearchApi seeks a Frontend Engineer & UI Designer hybrid to own the developer-facing product—dashboard, API playground, docs, and marketing site—using Hotwire, Tailwind, and Figma. You will design in Figma and ship in production code, working remotely on a lean, bootstrapped team. Required: production frontend you designed and built, strong server-rendered component stack (Rails+Hotwire preferred), and fluency in Tailwind and Figma.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and ship features from Figma to merged PRs (ViewComponents, Stimulus controllers, Tailwind).
- Own the logged-in dashboard: usage analytics, request history, billing, API keys.
- Build interactive API playgrounds with live structured JSON responses.
- Own docs and marketing experience, maintaining a coherent component system.
- Build honest data visualization with consistent semantic colors.
- Keep frontend craft: native HTML first, Turbo Frames, Tailwind, push Hotwire limits.
- Tame JavaScript bundle, kill dead CSS and one-off controllers.
- Decide what deserves polish and what ships good-enough.
