Key Responsibilities
- Help ensure high-quality and reliable financial reporting in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls and support a strong financial control environment.
- Support external audits by keeping documentation audit-ready and proactively addressing potential control gaps.
- Maintain a strong focus on financial accuracy, governance and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Commercial and Operations teams to analyse topics such as pricing, unit economics and business performance.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear insights that support commercial and strategic decision-making.
- Develop management reporting and dashboards that help leadership understand performance, trends and areas requiring attention.
- Contribute to and help drive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Build and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and Road’s growth ambitions.
- Analyse actual performance against forecasts and help explain the key drivers behind the numbers.
- Identify manual or inefficient finance processes and look for opportunities to automate and improve them.
- Work with tools and technologies such as SQL, Looker/LookML, APIs and SuiteQL to improve the quality and accessibility of financial data.
- Explore practical applications of AI within financial analysis and workflows.
- Apply appropriate financial judgement and controls when using automation or AI, ensuring outputs remain reliable and accurate.
