Key Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the core platforms behind every visibility product — event ingestion, milestone computation, webhook and notification delivery, scheduled work, and shared APIs used across all modal teams.
- Design event-driven systems that process high-throughput carrier data reliably and with low latency.
- Own reliability, performance, and scalability of the platforms your team operates.
- Building systems in a multi-cloud environment. We use AWS and GCP but value experience in other cloud environments such as Azure.
- Partner with modal engineering teams across Ground (FTL, LTL, Parcel, Rail), Ocean, Air, and Orders to expose platform capabilities they can build on.
- Share ownership of all facets of software delivery, including development, operations, and test.
- You will assume on-call responsibilities for systems (together with the team) that are built and owned by your team.
- You will invest in tools, monitoring, and automation to improve on-call experience for everyone on your team.
