Key Responsibilities
- Developing and designing high-tech optical modules and systems for different markets and applications
- Translating multidisciplinary customer requirements into realizable optical concepts and demonstrating their feasibility at an early stage through optical laboratory testing
- Performing optical design and simulations, for example using ray-tracing and Zemax, as well as contributing to image and signal processing where required
- Validating prototypes and supporting the development, installation and commissioning of optical systems at customer locations when required
- Working closely with project managers, system architects, customers, partners and suppliers to understand challenges and develop effective solutions
- Staying up to date with the latest developments in optical engineering and applying new technologies and approaches to your work
- Working as part of a small, multidisciplinary team where you have the freedom to contribute your ideas, develop projects and grow your expertise
