- Design and implement scalable and reliable backend systems and infrastructure
- Develop and maintain micro-services to expose platform functionality
- Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers for continuous delivery and deployment
- Identify and implement improvements to platform architecture and functionality
- Develop and maintain documentation of systems and processes
- Mentor and train junior members of the backend team
