Key Responsibilities
- Own backend features from product requirement through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Investigate new technologies, understand APIs and SDKs, and recommend integration approaches.
- Translate research into technical design, identify architectural changes, and implement solutions.
- Design and build backend services in Rust, including REST APIs, data models, database schemas, and service-to-service integrations.
- Build integrations with cloud and enterprise platforms, researching unfamiliar APIs and technologies.
- Own technical design for new capabilities, considering architecture, scalability, performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Scale a growing product by identifying and solving performance bottlenecks and architectural limitations.
- Take features through production, including implementation, testing, CI/CD, deployment, validation, and performance testing.
- Debug complex production issues across application, integration, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to refine requirements and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Support customers and internal teams with complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with engineers across a globally distributed team, participating in design and code reviews.
