- Own the build, evolution, and long-term health of highly scalable systems and distributed platforms that support advertising and customer marketing experiences across eBay.
- Stay actively involved in architecture reviews, technical decision-making, build reviews, and critical code paths to help teams deliver durable, high-quality solutions.
- Drive platform modernization, including migration from monolithic systems to cloud-native microservices architectures that improve scalability, reliability, and developer agility.
- Partner closely with architects, product leaders, and engineering teams to define technology strategy, influence roadmaps, and lead large-scale platform transformations.
- Champion engineering excellence through code quality, performance optimization, observability, resiliency, operational excellence, and modern developer productivity practices.
- Build, guide, and develop high-performing engineering teams across multiple geographies and time zones while fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, continuous learning, and customer focus.
