Key Responsibilities

•Lead a team of engineers, owning delivery and development.
•Lead continuous improvement mindset and process within the team.
•Develop engineers through 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and feedback.
•Develop next layer of leadership (tech leads, senior engineers).
•Write and review code; drive architectural and technical design decisions.
•Uphold engineering standards through PR review and release process.
•Work AI-augmented and lead an AI-augmented team.
•Own team's commitments: what, when, and quality bar.
•Run disciplined planning, prioritization, and delivery cadence.
•Partner with Technical Product Owner and Product team on scope and tradeoffs.
•Understand business objectives and translate context for the team.
•React decisively to change, re-planning and re-prioritizing.
•Own hiring for the team: interview, decide, maintain bar.
•Recruit, coach, and make hard calls when needed.
•Operate as role model for other engineering managers.
•Communicate clearly upward, downward, and sideways.
