Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the architecture of data pipelines, data marts, and platform components using Azure, Databricks, and modern data stack tools.
- Drive adoption of best practices in data modelling, observability, and DevOps; champion AI-assisted development and testing.
- Lead transformation into agentic coding practices; guide teams in leveraging GenAI-powered development tools effectively.
- Act as technical advisor across teams (Integrations, Ingestion, Batch/Stream processing, Data marts, Reporting, Modernization, Gen AI).
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; lead technical reviews, solution design sessions, and platform-wide initiatives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends; partner with architects to evolve technology strategy.
- Collaborate with architecture, product, and business teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
- Create clear, comprehensive documentation for engineering processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
- Build prototypes to test ideas; conduct rigorous testing for reliability, scalability, and performance.
